Borderpost Jund, jep, i instantly thought about this deck when Alara Reborn was released.
The combination of the best RGB-midrangecards (Bloodbraid Elf, Terminate, Putrid Leech, Blightning, etc.) promises a very high powerlevel when the decks doesn't lose to it's own shaky manabase.
8 Borderposts. I tested a lot and noticed that it is not a real problem to play 8x of them and it's reduces colorproblems to a playable level. Consequently i play no 1drops, as the borderposts are the thing i want to play in turn 1.
We developed this list a few weeks ago:

// Spells

2 Flame Jab
// Sideboard
SB: 2 Ancient Grudge
SB: 2 Naturalize
SB: 3 Pyroblast
SB: 4 Duress
SB: 4 Martyr of Ashes
Some explanations:
-
Bloodbraid Elf: much better than e.g. Flametongue Kavu. It's a bit random, but the average impact is very strong.
In about 75% of the cases the elf is just extremly good. In the other 25% he cascades some useless (e.g. Terminate without target or a borderpost).
The playing of the cascaded spell is by the way optional. Nobody must Terminate his own guys

.
It's a keycard of the deck. Holds the tempo high and gives cardadvantage.
-
Jund Hackblade: with the "Grenzsteine" he is fat and hasty most of the time. The 8x "power three" haste-guys make the deck quite explosives and unpredictable for the opponent.
-
Putrid Leech: the "Common-Tarmogoyf". Hardly to burn, dominates most other 2drops in the format. At worst it's a "bear".
Also it's a skillcard. Against decks with burn you should activate it with caution
With this deck it's hard to figure out whether you must play the aggro- or the control-role (
Misassignment of Role = Game Loss). According to the own role the leech is to be used aggressivly or not.
-
Phyrexian Rager: a very good card that i think is needed here to compensate the extrem high amount of mana cards. It's a Trinket Mage for the poor but very important if you want to win matchups like MBC.
Not a glamour card, but good for the deck's consistency.
-
Wickerbough Elder:
i feeled that i could play 5x cards with cc4, so i choose this one. Can destroy your own borderposts in the lategame. Yeah it's random.
-
Ember Weaver: 3/3 firststrike is very good for cc3 in peasant magic. He's big most of the time because of the 8x borderposts.
Why only as a 2of? the only reason is the manacurve.
-
Wild Mongrel: same here, only as a 2of because of the curve.
Can trap the opponent in combination with the Ember Weaver, haha. (change color instantly to red to pimp the weaver)

I think the Mongrel is better then more "Blades".
Okay,
Terminate and
Bolts, that's clear.
Blightning is also very strong. Gives the deck the needed burnrange in combination with the Bolts.
Loxodon Warhammer is a random win 1of. 5th Uncommon~
Flame Jab: was Resounding Thunder for a time. But i cyclet the thunder only once in around 20 games. Flame Jab seems stronger to me.
And something is needed to use the high amount of mana in the deck.
Sideboard is more or less clear.
Martyr of Ashes is playable because around 30 of my cards are red.
After all i would say it's a quite good deck, but not one of the best (because it loses sometimes randomly to it's own manabase). Also it's not that easy to play, because sometimes it's hard to figure out if you should play aggro or control and mulligan decisions can be nasty.
Also artifacthate on the borderposts can steal games... pay attention!
